Q & A with Jonathan

What do you like most about your primary practice area?

I enjoy successfully guiding people through the family court system when they are at a vulnerable stage in their lives and obtaining excellent results for them that empower them to have a meaningful role in their children’s lives and also obtain personal and financial freedom.

What do you like most about working for Jim Ross Law Group?

Working at Jim Ross Law Group gives me an opportunity to do what I love to do in a supportive environment with top-notch, knowledgeable attorneys and support staff. It is great to be part of team where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Jim is an excellent boss with strong ties to the Arlington community who gives attorneys the support they need to provide superb service to clients.

Briefly describe a particularly meaningful or satisfying outcome from one of your cases.

Following CPS intervention due to child neglect by a mother, a grandmother had taken custody of her four grandchildren by the mother (her daughter) and four different fathers. The Attorney General had scheduled the four cases all on different dates at great inconvenience to the grandmother, risking different outcomes in the cases and instability and chaos for the grandmother and the grandkids. I had all cases scheduled on the same day and handled them together at court. After trial before the judge which included testimony by a social worker, the grandmother was given primary custody of all of the children. The grandmother was very happy with this excellent outcome which gave the children stability and consistency.
